Our Language tells us about resonance in music: harmony,
accord and harmonics all tell about sound "in phase" or
"in sync." Discord, to me is "out of sync."
The prefix dis means lack. So: discord=lack of accord;
disorder= lack of order; disease= lack of ease; disagreement=
a lack of agreement!
The laser beam uses light vibrating "in sync." Colours
we see, relate to certain vibrational frequencies. However, visible
light is only a small part of what is called the Electro-magnetic
Spectrum. The spectrum includes energy vibrating from microwaves,
infra-red heaters, to very high frequencies for radio and TV, perhaps
beyond X-rays.
Some electromagnetic vibrations relate to the
electrons spinning around inside atoms! For instance, the only difference
between table salt (sodium chloride) and saltpetre (potassium chloride)
is only half dozen more electrons and the Electromagnetic vibrations
they make. We could think of it as the difference between a six
string guitar and a twelve-string guitar.

Now, this is a simple example, but when we get to DNA molecules,
we find the differences are more like the difference between Mozart
and Beethoven!
Kirlian Photography studies recorded vibrations
coming off living matter such as leaves from plants and human fingertips.
The process, done in the dark, used a small electrical charge on
a metal plate with photographic film to record changes in vibrations.
Studies showed several things: Energy could be conveyed from
people to damaged plants, so as to repair the "aura"
of the leaf, so it looked free of damage, even though the actual
leaf was damaged. Imagine two people's finger tips, pointing toward
each other on the same film. Records of the "corona"
or "aura" around their finger tips changed with the attitudes
held, as instructed by the experimenter. When asked to hold
feelings of Dislike, the record showed a blank or void between the
two people. While we are taught to think of dislike as a mild
form of hating (sounds active), Dislike is better thought of
as a withdrawl of liking.
