What is it? This is a "for-profit" business to provide financial support to a group of people who are building on our understanding of human existence in context.
We propose to do this work by charging fees for consulting and counselling.
We will also seek grants to assist those who may not be able to afford fees for service.

Definitions:

Consortium is more than a group of workers with a common goal.
The word implies mutual support and sharing of resources beyond economic exchange.
It also implies a more temporary arrangement that does not bind people into any long-term commitment.

Ontology is a branch of philosophy which concerns itself about the nature of existence.
For human beings, this describes our natural existence on Earth or our beingness in Nature.

www.sounding-board.org has been created as the vehicle for us to discover what is a truly natural existence among other human beings and other species on Earth.

Detailed Consideration:
Whether or not the universe and its control mechanisms actually exists beyond our imagination, as humans, we can all agree that we exist on earth.
Also, we have learned that Nature prefers some things to occur rather than others. This implies an idea of purpose for our being and preferred ways of being. Pleasure and pain are often signals of this.
This sense of direction has been called Teleology. However, many scientists have shunned this concept. It is at odds with
ideas of chance or randomness in nature. Yet, this objection may seem strange to the rest of us. After all, science has been devoted to seeking laws and principles, which show Nature is an orderly context.
Do we need this "orderly view" for reassurance, or is there some inherent sense that Nature orderly and predictable, although often appearing chaotic?
Thus, we hope to work together in a place beyond the constraints of social and natural sciences; a place beyond dogma and vested interests of group boundaries; a respectful place where we agree to never automatically critical of another's ideas, no matter how strange they seem.
Some will wish a long association while others will contribute and receive as needed in a shorter time!
